Lord, I Come in Repentance

Lord, forgive me—for the times I turned away,

For shutting out Your voice when You called my name.

You spoke so clearly, yet I followed my own way,

Now I bear the weight of my stubborn shame.

Have mercy, O God—You said it well:

"Obedience is better than sacrifice."

But I walked by flesh, not by faith, and I fell,

Ignoring the truth, believing my own lies.

Now I sit in the aftermath, broken and bare,

Seeing the ruin my choices have made.

Still, Your grace meets me here in this place of despair,

And Your mercy flows, it has never betrayed.

I'm grateful, Lord, though I failed the test—

You remain faithful, even when I am not.

Let me rest in Your will, for in You I am blessed,

And let obedience bloom in this contrite heart.
