Bound in chains of sin and shame
Drowning in the multitude of my sorrows
Wondering where I've gone wrong
Lying in a pit of overwhelming depression,
Trying to figure out my own expressions.
Is this is my life? Is this all that life has to offer me?
A prisoner of unforgiveness,
Bitterness was my daily bread and all I had to offer life, was death. Lifeless endeavors. But in He came, with a smile on His face and with
only a few words, He set me free. "Daughter you're forgiven" He said "go and sin no more."In an instant my chains of sin and shame broke. My bed of depression turned into a bed of exceeding joy. And for once I stoped asking the question "Is this all that life had to offer?" Because now I had something to offer life.
I had a testimony of how my savior came to set me free. Releasing me from the chains of unforgiveness and giving me new bread. The daily bread of life, a testimony of how He came with a smile and graciously left it on my face.
I now have something to offer life,
Because He took the chains from my heart and set me free.
