The Little Whispers

Updated: Apr 6

Desperate was I for You,

Longing to be held in Your home forever.

But these burdens fuelled the fire,

Consuming me from within...

The smoke thickened, filling the body of a sinner,

As echoes of unforgiveness lingered,

Perishing before my very eyes.

Mesmerized by the desire to know You more,

I longed to surrender my guilt, shame and worldly desires.

Elevated by Your words,

The whispers only grew louder.

Through my stubborn ears, you stood courageous,

Whisking a note that shattered

The unholy ambitions of my soul.

Though I stumbled and strayed,

Surrendering to channels

That neither worship nor praise You.

Yet through it all, you stood with me,

Patiently waiting.

These little whispers, they never fade...

Lord, you have not forsaken me;

Instead, you have blessed me with abundant grace.

Who am I to deserve this?

I am but a servant, lost in the wilderness.

Yet You stayed,

And rejoiced upon my return to Your eternal home.

The little whispers… never let me go.
